8115--Recyclable Shipping Containers Tucson CMOP Urgent and Compelling Short Term Need

SPECIAL NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. THIS IS A NOTICE OF THE GOVERNMENT'S INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE AWARD. This notice is to announce that the Department of Veteran Affairs, Consolidated Mail-Out Phamacy(CMOP) located in Tucson, Arizona, is proposing to negotiate a contract with USVETSERV a Service Disabled Veteran -Owned Small business(SDVOSB) on a sole source basis for medium and small recyclable shipping containers to support an increase in pharmacy prescriptions needed through the remainder of FY22. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a) and VAAR 819.7007. The reason justifying this sole source procurement is this represents a Urgent and Compelling need to ensure patient safety providing perishable prescriptions in support of several other CMOPs experiencing system issues and supply chain delays.
