THIS NOTICE IS BEING ISSUED TO DETERMINE IF THERE IS SUFFICIENT INTEREST FROM QUALIFIED PRIME CONTRACTORS who are Small Businesses, HUBZone small businesses, Woman owned small business concerns, 8(a) small businesses, or Service disabled veteran-owned small businesses and who intend to submit a bid for this solicitation to allow for a set-aside in one of these programs MUST submit the following by e-mail to
[email protected] by close of business (2 p.m. local Denver time) on December 19, 2018: (1) A positive statement of your intention to submit a bid for this solicitation as a Prime Contractor; (2) A copy of the letter from SBA stating date of HUBZone small business certification or acceptance to the 8(a) small business program. In the case of a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Concern, you must provide proof of eligibility (DD form 214 or a letter of adjudication from the Veterans Administration). This information must be provided in order to determine eligibility - DO NOT SEND COPIES OF YOUR SAM.gov PROFILE; (3) Letter from bonding agent stating your firm's capability to bond for a single project of $15 million, and your firm's aggregate bonding capacity; and (4) Provide a list of road construction projects of equal or greater value and scope to the WY FLAP 6WX(1) Southfork Road project in which you performed (as the prime contractor) Roadway Excavation, paving, drainage, aggregate base, surface aggregate paving, bridge replacement , riprap, survey, erosion control, traffic control and revegetation work. State whether your firm was the prime contractor or subcontractor on the project. DO NOT SEND INFORMATION ON PROJECTS THAT DO NOT INCLUDE THE ABOVE WORK. Project Description This project includes 7.3 miles of gravel rehabilitation and resurfacing, 6.3-7.5 miles of roadway reconstruction and paving, replacement of the EGF or Ishawooa Bridge and potential replacement of the Little Boulder Creek Bridge (on Hunter Creek Road). Significant items and quantities : Project will include excavation, aggregate base, surface course aggregate, paving, bridge, riprap, drainage, survey, erosion control, permanent and temporary traffic control, and revegetation. Major quantities include: •· 60 +/- acres of clearing and grubbing •· 65,000 +/- cuyd of roadway excavation •· 2,500 +/- cuyd of riprap •· 180 +/- cuyd of structural concrete •· 180,000 +/- lbs of structural steel •· 18,000 +/- cuyd of surface course aggregate •· 26,000 +/- cuyd of aggregate base course •· 21,000 +/- tons of Superpave Pavement Temporary Traffic Control: The Southfork Road will remain open during construction. Delay and one-lane road scenarios will be allowed. Anticipated Construction Amount : $7-12M Construction Season : Note that the weather conditions on this route are extreme; cold weather and snow are likely during fall, winter, and spring months. Snow pack recession timeframe varies, and is dependent upon accumulation and temperatures. Temporary Traffic Control : The Southfork Road will remain open during construction.
