Y--NASA ADVANCED SUPERCOMPUTING FACILITY N258 ELECTRICAL SUPPLY RELIABILITYIMPROVEMENT PROJECT PHASES IB II AND III

NASA/ARC is issuing a special notice to inquire if a Rotary Uninterruptible PowerSupply (RUPS) unit is on the market that can supply a 13.8kV distribution system. TheRUPS shall be based on continuously running motor-generator set or external flywheel/DCsystem. The RUPS shall be integrated with a diesel-engine generator with a standard daytank (24 hours). This RUPS unit shall be rated to serve a 2000kW load with a nominalpower factor of 0.9. Interested offerors/vendors having RUPS units that meet the above requirement shallsubmit a statement of 10 pages or less (brochures will be accepted) indicating theproduct that meets the requirements described herein. Responses must include thefollowing: 1. Name and address of firm; 2. Listing of relevant work performed in the past5 years; and 3. Specifications/salient characteristics of their RUPS unit.
