Z--Relocation of Utility Lines (Sole Source Action) at the New Bedford Harbor Superfund Site

THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and DFARS 206-302-1. The US Army Corps of Engineers, New England District, intends to enter into a sole source contract with the NStar (Public Utility Company). This sole source contract is required to relocate two power transmission cables and ten distribution cables that run across the Acushnet River located at the New Bedford Harbor Superfund Site. This relocation of cables is required prior to the environmental dredging of the New Bedford Harbor Superfund Site. This relocation will be partially funded by the Government and partilly funded by NStar. Nstar is the only source that can perform this work because the existing cables are the property of NStar, and they are the only source to perform work on their own transmission lines.
