Y--Install Domiciliary Transformer

NOTICE OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION: In accordance with the Veterans First Contracting Program and the Authority under 38 USC 8127-8128 (Sections 502 and 503 of Public Law (P.L.) 109-461), FAR Part 6.302-5(b) (6), and VAAR 819.7007, the Government intends to negotiate a sole source contract to a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) for Project #675-13-X04, Titled "Install Domiciliary Transformer" located at Dept. of Veterans Affairs, Orlando Medical Center (NCO 8), 5201 Raymond Street, Orlando Fl 32803 to exchange the current transformer that provides power to the Domiciliary at the Orlando VA medical center Lake Baldwin Campus for a larger one, and use the existing transformer to swap it out to another transformer (of the same capacity) located near Building 3130. Lastly, an old abandoned transformer sitting to the east of 3126 must be disposed of including the pad it sits on. All work must comply with the National Electric Code (NEC). The project range is between $25,000 and $100,000. The NAICS Code for this acquisition is 237130 Power and Communication Line and Related Structures Construction and the Small Business Size Standard is $33.5M. This acquisition is 100% Set-Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Only. The government intends to negotiate a sole source contract with BlueForge Construction, an SDVOSB concern.
