RECOVERY: THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. This opportunity is available only to contractors under the Michigan Service Center's existing IDIQ contracts for repair and alteration. This is not a request for quotation. This project is to increase energy efficiency at the Rosa Parks Federal Building, 333 Mount Elliott Avenue, Detroit, MI 48207. Work includes the installation of a new air cooled, roof mounted condensing unit and an indoor wall mounted air handler. Work also includes refrigerant piping and refrigerant charge, mounting of prefabricated I beam rails for the condenser, installation of prefabricated roof piping curb, installation of the water line for humidifier, and installation of the condensate drain. Demolition work includes the removal of the existing water cooled air conditioner and associated piping. Demolition and repair work also includes floor and roof penetrations for conduit, and roof patching. Electrical work consists of the installation of conduit, wiring, fused disconnect switches, control wiring, and a new 3p breaker in the existing panel board. Electrical work also includes the installation of a 120 volt GFI service receptacle mounted adjacent to the condensing unit. Additionally, occupancy lighting sensors throughout the building will be installed along with weatherstripping around building entrances.
