In accordance with FAR Subpart 5.2 this notice constitutes a notice of intent to solicit a sole source request for quote/proposal to Kampi Components for the purchase of brand name Rhine Air, breathing air equipment and air purging equipment, such as air ducting, breathing air pumps, purging air pumps, breathing air hoses, breathing air quality storage containers. A justification and approval will be published after award. This sole source action is needed to prevent unacceptable cost, schedule, and mission impacts if the Government were to award to a vendor other than the vendor currently executing the construction. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Invitation for Bid (IFB); the Air Force does not intended to award a contract on the basis of this notice or to otherwise pay for the information solicited. Although "quote" and "proposal" are used in this notice of contract action, your responses will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal.
