S--Notice of Intent to Sole Source - Savannah District USACE Environmental Materials Unit (EMU) Electrical Utility

The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Savannah District intends to award a sole-source contract with Marietta Water and Power of Marietta Georgia. The authority for this award is FAR 13.106-1(b) (1), only one source is reasonably available. The contractor will provide electrical services at 200 N. Cobb Parkway, Suite 402 and 404 for the USACE Environmental Materials Unit (EMU). The EMU office is located within the city limits of Marietta, GA and Marietta Water and Power is the sole source for providing these services at the location. This is only a request for information and a solicitation will not be issued. Interested concerns must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of the requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written responses by 10:00 A. M. on 8 January 2013 an award will be made without further notice. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
