NAICS Code: 115112. NO SOURCES ARE SOUGHT BY THIS NOTICE. THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLICIT ONLY ONE SOURCE. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price commercial contract to Baja Air, SA, Tijuana Mexico. This sole source contract is for aerial spraying of pesticides for the eradication of Medfly in Baja Mexico. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 6.302-2. Baja Air, SA, is the only firm currently mobilized, licensed and certified by Mexico’s Servicio Nacional de Sanidad, Inocuidad y Calidad Agroalimentaria for the aforementioned services. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurements.
