The Department of Veterans Affairs, Bay Pines Health Care System is conducting market research for the following requirement: Provide Community Based Emergency Transitional Residential Environment for Homeless Veterans Referred by the Bay Pines VA Health Care System in the following locations: Manatee County, Florida. The type of patients to be cared for will require care and services above the level of meals, room and board. Care services will include: a supervised, alcohol and drug free environment, supportive case-management services and provision of transportation to and from medical care at the BP VA Healthcare System. Beneficiaries receiving care will be provided supplies and education to support basic health and personal hygiene maintenance. Facility must meet the following requirements: a. The standards of the Life Safety Code (National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) #101); b. The fire and safety code imposed by the State Law; and c. City, State, and Federal requirements concerning licensing and health codes. NAICS code is 624229 with a size standard of $7mil. The period of performance is from September 10, 2011 through September 9, 2012. This synopsis is not a request for proposal. It is a market research tool being used to determine procurement strategy.
