Sources Sought Notice Equine Vet Services: The USDA Forest Service, Procurement & Property Services (PPS), is conducting market research to determine interest in providing Veterinary services, specifically focused on Equine Veterinary Services within the Bend, Madras and Prineville Oregon area. Workload is estimated to be the capture and removal of up to 50 wild horses annually during the fall and winter for the next five years, with a continued need for an estimated 5-20 horses annually. At a minimum, each horse will need the following vet care: Coggins/Blood Test DNA Blood Test RFID Chip Horse Aging Castration Additional anticipated services include Sedation, euthanizing, handling fees, consulting costs, on-call/after hour services, emergency services and barn/field calls.
