R -- Assess the reliability of Financial Management Systems used by DoD to develop agency financial statements

The previous Sources Sought announcements issued under solicitations N00421-04-R-0053 and N00421-04-R-0065, via Fed Biz Opps and the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) home page are cancelled. NAVAIR, on behalf of the Office of Inspector General (IG) Defense Financial Auditing Service (DFS), is now combining the two requirements into one solicitation N00421-04-R-0086. The purpose of this change is to ensure the Government implements the most advantageous acquisition strategy, based on Industry’s comments and program schedule requirements. NAVAIR intends to award one three year multiple award Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract in Fiscal Year 2005 to obtain support for Information Assurance, Audit Assessments, and Chief Financial Officers Audit Services. NAVAIR intends to synopsize this requirement via Fed Biz Opps within 30 days. NAVAIR intends to release a draft solicitation via the Internet within 90 days. The draft solicitation will be available on the NAVAIR Website at https://www.navair.navy.mil/doing_business/open_solicitations. It is the potential offeror's responsibility to monitor these sites for the release of any solicitation and/or amendments. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted.
