Description This sources sought does not constitute a solicitation or proposal, and authority to enter into negotiations to award a contract for the contemplated effort will not be received and funds will not be available. Department of Defense (DoD) Presidential Appointees confirmed by the U.S. Senate (PAS) must secure, through a financial guarantee or surety, that their respective retirement benefit plan featuring a defined benefit plan and/or a deferred compensation plan, will continue to make payments if the former private employer becomes bankrupt or financially insolvent. This coverage is required by the Senate Armed Services Committee. The current long time provider, MetLife, is discontinuing this program. The PAS pays the premium for the surety. DoD, Washington Headquarters Services (WHS)/Acquisition and Procurement Office (A&PO) is seeking to identify sources, which have the interest and ability to provide the surety. Responses must reference the solicitation number SOURCES – WHS/A&PO 1 and include the following information: 1. Name and address of firm, 2. Type of business (i.e. small business, small disadvantaged 8(a) certified; HubZone, woman-owned small business, small disadvantaged business (not 8(a) certified)), certain-owned small business, disabled veteran owned business, etc.) 3. Respondent’s must be a Properly Licensed Insurance Company, 4. Two points of contact: name, title, phone, fax and e-mail, 5. DUNS number, 6. NAICS codes, 7. Contractor’s capabilities statement which provides the information stated above, 8. List of customers covering the past five years including a summary of similar work performed, contract number, contract type, dollar value or each customer, reference and customer point of contact with phone number, and identify your role as either the Prime or Subcontractor. Respondents deemed fully qualified will be considered and referred to the Presidential Appointees seeking these types services.
