High Speed Film Scanning/Digitization

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY for market research purposes to identify interested vendors for the requirement detailed below. A formal Solicitation, with Performance Work Statements or Technical Exhibits is not available for review at this time. Information obtained from this sources sought notice may result in a future formal Request for Proposal. The Government reserves the right to set-aside any subsequent acquisition based upon known sources and/or responses to this synopsis. The Air Force SEEK EAGLE Office is seeking sources for the film digitization of over 3200 films, estimated at approximately 508,000 feet of film, on 16mm reels. The AFSEO is seeking a vendor to digitize the film with the following requirements: scan single frames (including sprocket region) into .PNG format, produce MPEG-2 video, and provide .PNG scans of associated paper products. Desired minimum production rate is 50 film conversions per month. Film is unclassified, but not for public release. This is a Sources Sought Notice for market research purposes only and is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). No solicitation is being issued at this time and this notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Participation is strictly voluntary with no cost or obligation to be incurred by the Government. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code for this effort is 512191; size standard $27.0 million.
