This is a Sources Sought Notice - Constitutes Market Research This is a Sources Sought Notice is to seek out qualified and interested Service Disabled Veteran Owned (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), and all other Small Businesses interested in bidding on this requirement. Synopsis of Work: The Contractor is to transport non-ambulatory patients on gurneys, litters, wheelchairs, Geri chairs who are not in need of emergency transportation or medical attention to and from several major Veterans Affairs (VA) medical centers and outpatient clinics in Northern California, 365 days a year, and 24 hours a day to include Federal Holidays. The Contractor shall provide vehicles, personnel, management, supplies, transportation, equipment and reports necessary to provide Ground Transportation services for beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) facilities within the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 21). These facilities include, but are not limited to Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Livermore, San Jose, Monterey, Capitola, Fremont, Stockton, Modesto, and Sonora. The Contractor shall provide all ground transportation services, as identified within this Performance Work Statement (PWS). The proposed NAICS code is 485991 Special Needs Transportation with small business size at $14.0 million. The VA intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price Contract for an estimated Period of Performance to begin on/about Oct 1, 2014 or within 30 days after award of contract plus four option years. Attached is a draft version of the PWS which is subject to changes. No formal solicitation document exists at this time.
