REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) FOR U.S. FOREST SERVICE WATER HAULING. This is not a solicitation, this is a RFI, and is for fact finding purposes only and does not constitute a commitment or obligation by the Government to issue an RFP, RFQ, contract or order. The Government will not pay for any effort expended or any material provided in response to this announcement, nor will the government return any data provided. The purpose of this RFI notice is to identify potential sources (especially 8(a), HubZone and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses) interested in providing water hauling services for two Horse Camps on the Hoosier National Forest in southern Indiana. Shirley Creek Horse Camp north of French Lick, Indiana and Youngs Creek Horse Camp south of Paoli, Indiana both have gravity feed water tanks that supply non-potable water for horses. Shirley Creek has a 1000 gallon gravity feed water tank and Youngs Creek has a 1000 gallon gravity feed water tank. From spring through fall the tanks are filled by request from the Forest Service. A call will be made to the water hauler to haul water to either tank or both. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 484220, Small business Size Standard is $27.5 Million. The Service Contract Act will apply to any contracts that are awarded as a result of a solicitation issued, if any. The Government may award a Sole Source Contract if no qualified responses are received. Respondents must provide a qualifications statement. They should also state whether they are a small or large business based on the size standard above and if they are Hubzone, 8(a) or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business certified.
