Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified businesses interested and capable of providing the services described below. Documentation of expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. If so, please list the contract number and expiration date. Title of Project: Transportation/Moving Service for Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC), located in Toledo, OH. Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision and all other resources required to deliver the requirements stated herein, except as may otherwise be specified. Background: The VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System is in need of a company that can provide transportation and moving services to transfer approximately 220 medical devices and 150 computer devices from the present Toledo CBOC to the new Toledo CBOC (approx. two miles). While offering packaging and property security, the contractor will be responsible for, but not limited to, pack, inventory (i.e. scan bar codes), transport, reinventory, unpack, place, and remove all packing materials required for such exercise. These items must be transported using vendor vehicles using safe and secure methods. All items will be labeled with instructions regarding the final placement of the property. The contractor receiving the award must meet personnel security requirements specified in VA Handbook 6500.1 (background checks, training, VA contractor rules of behavior). Contractor must also provide a statement of performance describing the contractor's capabilities as well as registration on pertinent government sites (CCR, Vetbiz, etc.). Performance Period: This work must be expeditious and take place during times where down time is minimized (i.e. weekend or holiday). Place of Performance: The present Toledo CBOC to the new Toledo CBOC.
