N--Intent to Sole Source the relocation and installation of R.C. Smith casework

This is a notification that the Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Fort Leavenworth, intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed price contract under statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, quote mark Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements quote mark to R.C. Smith Company. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 484210 , with a small business size standard of $25.5M. The requirement is to relocate and install existing R.C. Smith pharmacy casework from Bldg 343C to Bldg 343A of Munson Army Health Center at Ft. Leavenworth, KS. The casework includes work stations and shelving manufactured by R.C. Smith. The disassembly and re-assembly must be done by a certified personnel of R.C. Smith equipment to maintain the existing warranty. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price contract and will have a period of performance of 8 Jan 2013 - 13 Jan 2013. This notice is not a request for quotations. The contractor identified is the only known source for the subject requirement. Responses to this notification will be used to determine if bona fide competition exists. Any such responses must be in writing and include technical and pricing information. The Government will not pay for information submitted. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement action, based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
