The 6th Contracting Squadron (6 CONS) at MacDill AFB issues this Sources Sought Synopsis for information and planning purposes only. This synopsis is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for any information solicited. The purpose of this Sources Sought is to identify potential sources that are interested in and capable of providing the furnishings management support described herein. As a result of this Sources Sought, 6 CONS may issue a Solicitation/Request for Quote (RFQ). However, should such a requirement materialize, no basis for claims against 6CONS shall arise as a result of a response to this Sources Sought (e.g., use of such information as either part of its evaluation process or in developing specifications for any subsequent requirement). GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: The 6th Contracting Squadron is seeking 8(a) vendors who can provide the following: Delivery and/or pickup, installation, maintenance, reconfiguration, storage (provided by the Government) of office and workplace systems furniture, office and workplace case-goods furniture, artwork, pictures, signage, office appliances (office microwaves and refrigerators). Basic service include rudimentary electrical service connection (power only --voice/data/IT addressed under a separate contract) for systems furniture, and other Government furnished office and workplace furniture requirements as necessary for mission accomplishment. Originating work requests reside in a Comprehensive Facility Management (CAFM) database which the contractor shall maintain. We are only seeking responses from 8(a) companies. Please do not respond if you are not an 8(a) company. Interested parties will need to summarize their support capabilities. Such capabilities will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice. Sources shall include in their information, a detailed capabilities statement stating their experience in providing the same or similar work described in this notice, a point of contact with phone and e-mail information, business size, and a positive statement of interest to submit a proposal. This request for information is not a commercial solicitation and the Government will not pay for any information submitted, or for any costs associated with providing the information.
