Request for Information (RFI) THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Fort Benning, Georgia, is conducting market research to determine the availability of potential small businesses and any sub category such as but not limited to HUBZone, EDWOSB, WOSB, etc. for the following requirement: Packing, Crating, Containerization and Local Drayage Service. The Contractor, as an independent Contractor and not as an agent of the Government, shall furnish all personnel, equipment, facilities, supplies, services, and materials, except as specified herein as government-furnished, for the preparation of personal property of DoD personnel for shipment and/or storage and related services through the Direct Procurement Method (DPM) Schedule 1 Outbound Services, Schedule II Inbound Services, and Schedule III Intra-City and Intra-Area Moves. Efforts shall include complete service outbound & inbound household goods; service of packing, crating, drayage and delivery of household goods and baggage shipments, and local moves service for packing, pick-up and delivery of household goods shipments. The purpose of this Sources Sought Synopsis is to determine interest and capability of potential business firms relative to North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 484210 (Used Household Goods and Office Moving Services). The Government will use responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis as a market research tool to determine a procurement strategy. The appropriate procurement strategy will be determined after consideration of all industry responses received. Any information submitted by respondents is strictly voluntary. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in response to this Sources Sought Notice. Interested concerns should indicate their interest, in writing, as early as possible, but no later than Noon Eastern Standard Time (EST) 19 September, 2014.
