The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) intends on issuing a Purchase Order, utilizing Simplified Acquisition/Commercial Items/Sole Source procedures to Municipal Emergency Services, Inc., Williamsport, MD for the purpose of purchasing Scott Aviation Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus consisting of: 1) P/N 804564-01 Scott Voice Amplifier, 13 Each; 2) P/N 805898-06 SEMS pda 4500psi factor installed on SCBAs, 14 Each; 3) P/N 804846-1003 Scott 4.5 Air Pack Fifty w/AV2000 facepiece, Dual EBSS, 30 Minute Carbon Cylinder, CBRN certified EZ-flow regulator, 2002 edition, 14 Each; 4) P/N 804636-01Scott AV2000 bracket for voice amp, 14 Each; 5) P/N 27537-01 Hansen extended duration airline, 14 Each; 6) P/N 804191-08 Scott AV2000 spare facepieces-comfort seal, 9 Each; and, 7) P/N 805679-01 SEMS PDR base station with programming software, 1 Each. These exact items are required by FEMA to be interchangeable with existing equipment. The Contractor shall also be responsible for providing on-site training and programming for the Scott Air Packs at a designated FEMA office near Bluemont, VA. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice and other underlying factors is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The information should contain adequate supporting documentation to allow the Government to make a determination as to whether or not a proposed product meets the Government’s minimum requirements. This notice also serves as a market research for prospective small businesses who can provide the required self-contained breathing apparatus.
