42--Fire Extinguisher

Fire Extinguisher Description. Item Description: The item shall weigh no more than 75 pounds fully loaded. The item shall extinguish tire, fuel, and oil fires utilizing gel, liquid, or foam solution. The item shall be capable of being put into action by a single untrained soldier within 45 seconds. The item called utilize shoulder straps and/ or carrying handles to allow the soldier utilizing the item to move toward the fire over uneven terrain. The item shall allow at least 30 feet of standoff distance from the operator to the fire. The item should be capable of being mounted inside or outside of a HMMWV for carrying/ stowage purposes. The item shall incorporate easy to read gauges to display the fill level of propellant and liquid or gel. The item shall provide a minimum of 45 seconds of dispersal without refilling the system. Companies shall provide a digital picture of their system and a listing of component repair and spare parts for their system. Submit a picture with each spare and repair parts.
