S--Fire Extinguishers Maintenance/Inspections - PA/MP/L Base plus 4 Option Years

THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS CONSTITUTES MARKET RESEARCH The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking potential sources capable of conducting fire extinguisher annual inspections and hydrostatic test for the Department of VA Medical Centers located in Palo Alto to include numerous off-sites locations within the East and West Bays. The vendor shall be responsible for developing and maintaining a record of annual service requirements and due dates for portable fire extinguishers located within the Palo Alto Health Care System. The vendor shall perform annual inspections and hydrostatic tests, which shall include all labor, materials and transportation of extinguishers. The Contractor shall provide service and maintenance of fire extinguisher, which includes annual Inspection and 6 year Hydrostatic test for: 5lb dry chemical ABC fire extinguishers, 10lb CO2 fire extinguishers, 10lb Purple -K fire extinguishers, and 50lb C02 fire extinguishers. Additionally, all service provided by the contractor must comply with current NFPA 10 guidelines for fire extinguisher maintenance, which includes the annual service and 6 year hydrostatic testing. The VA intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price Contract for Base and 4 Option Years. The proposed NAICS code is 423990 and possible Special Item Number (SIN) 811 004. The small business size standard is 100 employees. The Contractor must be certified and/or licensed to perform specified work and submit copies of licenses in the proposal. The Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS) is located at 3801 Miranda Avenue, Palo Alto, California 94304; Menlo Park VAMC is located at 795 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, including 27 fire extinguishers located in the staff residents and the Livermore VAMC is located at 4951 Arroyo Road, Livermore, CA 94550; including fire extinguishers located in 30 transport vehicles, and 30 fire extinguishers located at the VA Outpatient Clinic at 3401 Engineer Lane, Seaside, Monterey, California.
