This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. This is NOT a request for proposals and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to gain knowledge of commercially available products that may be of interest to Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE). FRCE is performing market research to determine available sources that can provide contractor-furnished resources for design, upgrade, modification and/or replacement of the FRCE aircraft components Fusion Welding systems.The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, and accessories necessary for a complete and operational "turn-key" design and installation of two (2) systems capable of Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) and Plasma Arc Welding (PAW). The contractor shall also facilitate the removal of current three (3) welding systems. Capabilities that shall be required include but are not limited to the following:. Axes:X= 18" -Speed 200 IPMY= 25" -Speed 200 IPMZ= 18" -Speed 100 IPMRotary/Tilt Table:R= 360 Degrees -Speed 10RPM MaxT= -5 to +95 Degrees. Power:VOLTS 480HERTZ 60PHASE 3. Max Wire Speed: 100 IPM. Power Supply Maximum Current= 200 Amperes. 100% Duty Cycle Inverter Welding Power Source. Sync Pulse capable Power Source. Digitally Controlled Constant Arc Voltage. Open Current Voltage= 65 Volts. Maximum Arc Voltage = 40 Volts. Repeatability and Accuracy set at 0.001" and 0.01 degrees per 36inches. Computer controlled Wire feed . Wire feed diameters ranging from 0.020" -- 0.090".. Wire feed capable of delivery of the following metals: Nickel Titanium Stainless Steel Cobalt Aluminum. Argon/Mixed Gas capable. Gas filters/scrubber. Computer Controller with State of the Art Software and Electronics. 1% parameter variance (max.). Real Time Pendant Control with Override (Remote Control).
