This notice is being issued by the Marketing and Regulatory Programs (MRP) Small Business Coordinator (SBC) for the AMS. The Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Marketing Service, Livestock and Seed Programs, 1400 Independence Avenue, SW Room 3943-South Building, Washington, DC, 20250, UNITED STATES,is seeking Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) who manufacturer Beef Products to be used in the National School Lunch and other domestic food nutrition assistance programs. This is not a Request for Bid and no contract will be awarded solely on the basis of the response hereto, or on follow-up information subsequently sought. SDVOSB sources (under 500 employees) are for those who are manufacturers of coarse ground beef. These commodities are purchased in truck load quantities (42,000 pounds) for delivery to destinations nationwide. All product purchased by USDA must be of 100% domestic origin. Purchases are ongoing with deliveries beginning May 1, 2008.
