George Washington and Jefferson NF- Sources Sought for Road Construction Services

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR A PROPOSAL OR QUOTE. THE USDA/USFS IS NOT SEEKING PRICING OR OFFERS. GENERAL: This is a Request for Information (RFI)/Sources Sought Notice, issued in accordance with FAR 10.001(a) to conduct market research to identify potential vendors capable of providing Road Construction Services for the United States Forest Service (USFS), George Washington Jefferson National Forest (GWJ NF). DISCLAIMER: This RFI/Sources Sought Notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes. It does not constitute either a Request for Quotation (RFQ) or a Request for Proposal (RFP); nor is it a promise to issue an RFQ/RFP in the future. This RFI/Sources Sought Notice does not commit the Government to contract for any construction or service project whatsoever. USFS is not seeking proposals at this time and will not accept any unsolicited proposals. Responders, and not the Government, will pay for any costs incurred while responding to this RFI/Sources Sought Notice. Vendors who do not respond to this RFI/Sources Sought Notice may still participate in any future RFQ/RFP. Information submitted in response to this RFI/Sources Sought Notice is strictly voluntary and becomes the property of the Government. The Government may modify this announcement or any associated solicitation it may issue at its discretion. DESCRIPTION: USFS has a requirement for Road Construction Services on the GWJ NF. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and expertise necessary to succesfully perform road construction services. The following NAICS code(s) are being considered in an Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Task Order Contracts (MATOC): 237310 Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction 238910 Site Preparation Contractors The GWJ NF consists of the following districts, broken up into a NORTH ZONE and a SOUTH ZONE. SOUTH ZONE: Mount Rogers, Clinch, Eastern Divide, Supervisors Office; NORTH ZONE: Glenwood-Pedlar, James River-Warm Spriongs, North River and Lee. There is a DRAFT presolicitation attached noting the locations of the each district and additional information for consideration. INFORMATION SOUGHT: Interested vendors should provide a capability statement demonstrating their ability to provide the required imformation being sought. Please disclose socio-economic status in response.
