Small Diameter Bomb Increment II (SDB II) EMD and Production

Posting of solicitation: This presolicitation notice was initially posted on 14 May 2009, and was unarchived on 22 October 2009. The SDB II solicitation was released to Raytheon Missile Systems and The Boeing Company - the two companies that participated in the 42 month SDB II Risk Reduction effort - on 7 October 2009. Due to numerous requests for copies of the solicitation by interested parties, the SDB II Program Office is posting the solicitation on FedBizOpps for adminstrative ease in dissemination. The solicitation date remains 7 October 2009. Administrative notes: The presolicitation notice indicated a target RFP release date of 15 June 2009 with an anticipated award date of 31 December 2009. The RFP was actually released on 7 October 2009 and the Government anticipates an award on or about 1 May 2009. Additionally, the presolicitation notice indicated that the Government anticipated a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee with Performance Incentive contract type for EMD and a Fixed-Price Incentive (Firm Target) (FPI(F)) contract type for Lots 1-5. The RFP released on 7 October 2009 actually reflects an FPI(F) contract type for EMD and Lots 1-3 and a Fixed-Price Not-to-Exceed with Economic Price Adjustment for Lots 4-5.
