Description

Roller Castings and Roller Shafts for Illinois Waterway Project Office, Peoria, Peoria County, IL. Supply 80 quantity of 5 inch Roller Castings, 50 quantity of 4 3/4 inch Roller Castings, and 20 quantity of 2 inch Roller shafts. The castings shall be made of grey iron conforming to ASTM A48 Class 40 EXCEPT that production samples are not required. The bronze bushing shall be a 660 bronze. The roller shaft shall be 1045 round. The castings to be produced hereunder shall conform to the latest modern practice of the industry. The grey iron shall be of the grade specified, and the complete castings shall be free of injurious defects. Each casting shall have the heat number stamped or cast upon it.
