GALLATIN NATIONAL FOREST - Gardiner Ranger District Building Siding

The project will take place at the Gardiner District Office Compound, which is located on the south side of HWY 89 in Gardiner, Montana. The district office building lies directly off the highway, facing the highway. The garage is directly behind the office building. Gardiner Ranger District Building Siding shall include: removal and disposal of existing siding and installation of new insulation board, seamless steel siding, trim, door and window wrap, facia, soffit, gutters, and downspouts. The attached shed at the rear of the office building is considered a part of the building and siding the shed shall be included in this work. Existing siding from the shed shall not be removed prior to installing new siding. Description of Buildings: District Office – single story, approximately 2700 square feet gross square footage. Garage – single story, approximately 3000 square feet gross square footage. Price Range: Between $25,000- $100,000. Pre-Bid Tour: There will be no pre-bid tour. It is recommended that bidders visit the site and obtain their own measurements for bid preparation. Estimated Start Date/Period of Performance: It is estimated that the work shall begin August, 2008. Work shall be completed within 60 days of the issuance of the Notice To Proceed. The Contractor shall comply with all applicable laws, ordinances, safety codes, regulations, orders and decrees. The Contractor shall be responsible for all damages to persons or property that occur as a result of the actions of the Contractor, subcontractors, or employees of the Contractor or subcontractors. The Contractor shall confine storage of equipment, materials, and vehicles to within the limits delineated by the Contracting Officers Representative. The Contractor shall be solely responsible for the loss of or damage to materials stored on Forest Service lands or elsewhere. It is estimated this solicitation will be posted to the FBO website by August 1, 2008.
