The NATO Consultation, Command and Control Agency (NC3A) has submitted to the NATO Infrastructure Committee a request for authorization to implement an Air Command and Control Information Services (AirC2IS) project. The AirC2IS project is currently in the system requirement, capture, and specification stage. The NC3A shall endeavor, with the participation of industry and representatives from the Strategic Commands and the NATO Air Command and Control Management Agency (NACMA), to gather information on National Air C2 technology, capabilities, and systems, in order to construct a comprehensive specification of the NATO Air C2IS functional requirements. In order to optimize this exercise, NC3A is organizing an Air C2IS Industry Workshop on 28-29 April 2008 in Brussels, Belgium. To assist companies participating in the Industry Workshop, an Information Day will be held at NC3A in Brussels on 08 April 2008. With the Industry Workshop, NC3A intends to benefit from industry expertise and experience and to collect information about lessons learned and experience gained during recent implementation of similar projects. The information collected as a result of this Workshop will be used to further develop and improve the Request for Bidders Views that will be issued after the project has been authorized and the results of the Workshop assessed. Participation in this Workshop entails presenting recent and relevant experience and lesions learned regarding the implementation of projects of similar scope and complexity as the Air C2IS. The Workshop is not directly tied to any future solicitations under this project. The main objective of the Workshop is to ensure that valuable industrial experience regarding the implementation of similar projects is taken into account for the sake of effectiveness. This announcement is not a Notification of Intent to call for bids. Furthermore, any company that is not interested in taking part in the proposed Information Day will not be prevented from taking part in the subsequent competitive bidding process, if declared eligible to do so by its government. INFORMATION DAY The Air C2IS Information Day on 08 April is intended to provide details to industry on the specific objectives of the Workshop as well as logistics information. Industry is advised to attend this Information Day if they plan to participate in the Workshop. To register for the Air C2IS Information Day, send an email to Ms. Anna Kapnoula (
