W--Rental and Laundering of Work Uniforms

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk (FISCN), Contracting Department, Norfolk VA, 23511-3392 intends to negotiate a 100 percent small business set aside Firm Fixed-Price contract for the rental and laundering of work uniforms, which will be for use by various FISCN Postal Operation Divisions. The rental and laundering services will be acquired in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items, FAR Part 13 – Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and FAR Subpart 19.5 – Set Asides for Small Business. The rental and laundering will be required for a one 1-year base period that will commence on 1 October 2010 and conclude on 30 September 2011. Two one-year option periods will be incorporated thereafter. The North American Industry Classification System code for this acquisition is 812332. Potential contractors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available for download at the above cites. This office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting an offer, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the offer. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for award to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make a contractor ineligible for award.
