R -- Child Day Care Services

The USAO has a requirement for a qualified contractor or similar professional organization to operate a children's waiting room, also known as drop-in daycare services. The DOJ provided facility is located within a federal building in Washington, DC. All applicable DC licensing standards will apply, even if considered voluntary. The requirement includes the provision of qualified staff and support systems to supervise, monitor, provide reading/entertainment materials, and otherwise be responsible for the children of victims and witnesses (or other accompanying adults having business to conduct at the USAO for DC). The children may be in the waiting room for several minutes to several hours, depending on the business to be conducted by the accompanying adult. A single contract will be awarded and will include a base period and options to extend the term of the contract up to a total of 60 months. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 624410 with a size standard of $6.5M. The requirement is issued on an unrestricted, full and open competitive basis. Solicitation DJJD06RFP0415 will be issued on or about November 3, 2006 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's FedBizOpps web site, www.FedBizOpps.gov (hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available).
