R -- Developing a Prototype for a Nationwide Health Information Network Architecture

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONCHIT), through the Program Support Center (PSC), Division of Acquisition Management (DAM), has a requirement to develop prototypes for a Nationwide Health Information Network Architecture. Each vendor will develop a prototype and operational models for a Nationwide Health Information Network Architecture that will facilitate health information, and participate in the evaluation and assessment of these models. It is anticipated that up to six (6) cost-reimbursement type contracts will be awarded for a period of 12 months with one 12-month option. Responses to the Request for Proposal (RFP) package will be due within 30 calendar days following the actual date of issuance of the RFP. Award of this requirement is anticipated in FY06. This is a Partial Small-Business Set-Aside. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the PSC.
