This is a pre-solicitation notice to announce that the Department of Interior (DOI), National Park Service (NPS), Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore (SLBE), has identified a requirement for the Interpretive Media Design Services for the South Manitou Island Lighthouse Complex. This requirement is part of a two year project to rehabilitate the South Manitou Lighthouse Complex. Along with physical access there is a need for expanded interpretive experiences for the increasing numbers of campers and day visitors to South Manitou Island. The lighthouse complex site is a destination for 100% of the visitors who make the trip to Sough Manitou Island each season. The purpose of this requirement is to provide an Interpretive Media Plan for the Lakeshore's South Manitou Island Lighthouse Complex. The project includes determining the most effective and and accessible interpretive media for this site, anticipated products include; wayfinding signs, wayside exhibits, interior exhibit panels, and contend for an NPS Places mobile app. The Interpretive Media Plan shall include planning and design for each final element. The successful offeror shall commence work upon receipt of a fully executed purchase order by the Government Contracting Officer. The offeror shall prosecute the work diligently as to complete all requirements under this requirement no later than December 2, 2016. If a solicitation is issued, the solicitation number will be P16PS01226. If issued, the solicitation will be released electronically on www.fbo.com. Potential offerors will be required to visit the website periodically to check for the solicitation and any amendments or other changes to documents. No other notifications will be sent. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov system prior to award of a Government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in SAM will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. It is recommended that your firm register immediately in order to be eligible for award. The anticipated date when quotes will be due is approximately 14 days after the solicitation is issued.
