A--Pre-Planned Product Improvement Support (P3I) for the CH-53E Super Stallion Aircraft

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to contract with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (SAC) on a sole-source basis under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-03-C-0003 to perform pre-planned product improvement support (P3I) to address needed improvements to the CH-53E Super Stallion aircraft. These study efforts include, but are not limited to: aircraft #2 engine backflow modeling study efforts, Engine Air Particle Separator (EAPS) reconfigurations to improve dust filtration capabilities; and various other engineering and logistics support requirements. SAC is the only known source with the knowledge, experience, and proprietary technical data required to perform these tasks.
