T -- Operation of the Defense Visual Information Center

Management and operation of the Defense Visual Information Center (DVIC), 23755 Z St., Riverside, CA 92518-2031. DVIC serves as the primary official DoD records center for the storage and preservation of selected original and irreplaceable motion picture, video, still, audio, amd mixed media visual information records depicting the DoD, its heritage, and its current activities. DVIC is responsible for the reception, storage, preservation, retrieval, research, compilation and duplication of significant DoD imagery in support of the military operations, training, intelligence activities, historical/legal documentation, and public/internal information functions. The contractor shall receive, inspect, inventory, store materials, research DVIC holdings, and provide required customer support and technical services in support of the DVIC mission. The contractor shall dispose of DVIC record holdings in accordance with applicable Government directives, receive, retreive, store inventory, duplicate media, and provide mail room services. A pre-proposal conference is scheduled for 17 MAY 2006. Proposals are due on 9 JUN 2006 at 2:00 PM PDT. Performance is anticipated to begin on 1 OCT 2006.
