The James E. Van Zandt (Altoona) VA Medical Center's Nutrition and Food Service Department has an ongoing requirement for delivery of fresh produce on an as-needed basis, to the Medical Center, located at 2907 Pleasant Valley Boulevard, Altoona, Pennsylvania. Produce requirements are for small quantities of a variety of perishable fresh fruits and vegetables, to be delivered up to 3 times per week. The term of the contract is for a base period of one year and four (4) one-year options which will be exercised at the discretion of the Government. The base year contract will begin on/around April 1, 2016 and run through March 31, 2017. The electronic solicitation will be available for download from the Federal Business Opportunities website on or around Wednesday, March 16, 2016. Responses to the RFQ are due to the Contracting Officer no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, March 25, 2016. This is a 100% small business set-aside.
