The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is conducting market research to identify potential sources for tower and shelter space to support the operations of the National Weather Radio (NWR) program at nine locations throughout Alabama. See attached PDF for site specifics, antenna AGL, AMSL, transmitter types and frequencies. NOAA currently leases tower and shelter space at these nine separate locations. While existing agreements are in place, NOAA is seeking information from all interested parties to ensure maximum competition and cost-effectiveness for future requirements. NOAA will consider relocating its NWR infrastructure to alternate sites if a comprehensive cost-benefit analysis demonstrates that doing so is in the best interest of the Government. Interested parties are encouraged to submit a response that includes the following information for any of the locations listed above: Company Information: Name, address, point of contact (name, email, phone number), and confirmation of SAM.GOV registration. Site Location: Address and coordinates of the proposed tower. Tower Specifications: Tower type (e.g., guyed, self-supporting), overall height, and available antenna mounting heights. Ground Space: Description of available ground space for an equipment shelter. Site Access: Details on vehicle accessibility to the site. Utilities: Confirmation of available commercial power and telecommunications services. Pricing: A rough order of magnitude (ROM) for monthly or annual lease costs. Please submit responses and any questions via email to Chris Townsend at
