***NOTICE OF SINGLE SOURCE AWARD***NOT A RFP*** General duties of the Biological Team Leader include developing biologically based strategic plans for monitoring and assessing the effects of waterfowl and wetlands conservation programs; organizing and chairing a Waterfowl Working Group of the Monitoring, Evaluation and Research Team; serving as a representative to the North American Waterfowl Management Plan Science Support Team; working with the Waterfowl Working Group and other teams to identify priority conservation programs and design biological reviews and assessments of planned and proposed habitat development projects for waterfowl; assisting in developing fund-raising proposals and/or compiling information for communication efforts regarding habitat, research and evaluation, and policy related activities for the partnership; identifying and implementing ���anticipatory research��� to help guide conservation programs; assisting other Gulf Coast Joint Venture staff and partners in activities that require biological and scientific assistance and support; and representing the partnership in committees and meetings that help build partnerships and professional representation on key issues. The Southwest Region of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service hereby provides NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD TO A SINGLE SOURCE WITHOUT COMPETITION for continuation of Gulf Coast Joint Venture Biological Planning support staff, in the form of a Biological Team Leader, for the Gulf Coast Joint Venture partnership for the period September 1, 2015 through August 31, 2016.
