Pegasus HT Throughput Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometer (TOFMS) with an Electron Impact (EI) Ionization Source

This is a notice of intent from the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) to contract with LECO Corporation at 3000 Lakeview Avenue, Saint Joseph, MI 49085-2319 on an other than full and open competitive basis. The contractor shall provide a Pegaus HT High Throughput Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometer (TOFMS) with an Electron Impact (EI) Ionization Source. Performance attributes meeting analytical requirements defined for the project lifetime are derived from patented time-of-flight mass analyzer technology specifically adapted for chromatographic detection that is available solely through LECO (U.S. Patents No. 4,472,631 and 5,175,430). GC/MS systems employ quadrupole mass analyzers and do not meet the duty cycle requirements of the project. The required delivery is no later than October 1, 2008. This is not a solicitation.
