J--IN WLR ARF for bottle filling station maintenance contract (replaces VA69D-14-P-4318; current PO H45006)

The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with The Marlin Company for an electronic communications station for the James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center, North Chicago, IL. Manufacturer is The Marlin Company. This procurement is the third phase of the installation of the communication station. Facility modification has been made to accommodate the communication station. The display system includes: 37" & 60" display screen with onsite warranty, Marlin digital engine with warranty, mounting brackets, wireless keyboard, Ethernet, HDMI & power cables, surge protector, poly cover, Marlin ECS software, flash converter software program, Windows XP embedded license, site survey, professional installation , technical installation support and shipping. Also includes subscription for 3 year term. The Marlin Company is the only FSS vendor capable of providing equipment manufactured by The Marlin Company. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 8.405-6 Limited Source Justification Approval and no other vendor will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer by 5:00 PM (CST) April 10,2015. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with The Marlin Company.
