Pursuant to the FY 2016 Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2016, the Federal Railroad Administration is to make available to Amtrak $1,092,992,500 ($221,665,052 from the Continuing Appropriations Act, 2016 and $871,327,448 from the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2016) to cover Capital and Debt Service expenses.
