38--Aardvark Landmine Clearing Parts

The Marine Corps Systems Command intends to solicit and award a solesource firm-fixed-price contract with Aardvark Landmine Clearance Inc, ofMcLean, Virginia. This proposed contract action is for Parts for USMCfielded Aardvarks used for effectively clearing anti-tank and anti-personnellandmines by either detonation or disruption, the Aardvark is capable ofoperating in the majority of terrain and environmental conditionsencountered in mine fields throughout the world. The Aardvark is effectivein a variety of soil types and mixes on both flat and undulating ground. Theparts packages are specific to the Aardvark design and will be utilized todirectly support the machines being utilized by the warfighter. Technicalpublications, training, and actual Aardvarks were purchased on a previouscontract. In an effort to capitalize on existing equipment, technicalpublications, as well as parts commonality, it is in the best interest ofthe government to procure these parts from the original manufacturer. Theproposed commercial contract is for an estimated $65,000 for Aardvark mineflail parts. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with onlyAardvark Landmine Clearance Inc. The NAICS Code for this procurement is333131. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and nosolicitation is available.
