The Naval Inventory Control Point is soliciting a 5-year requirements contract, which will have a 1-year base with four (4) 1-yr options, for the repair of 6 items that are part of the ALR-67(V2) system used on the FA-18 platform. Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (26916), Rolling Meadows, IL is the Original Equipment Manufacturer and the only known source to possess full repair capability. Complete data drawings and the rights to the same are not available from the Government. The following are the 6 items for repair: 1) Switch, Radio Frequency; NSN: 7R-5985-01-257-0276; P/N: 62-054801-02; est. 76 ea; 2) Microwave Network; NSN: 7R-5915-01-257-0921; P/N: 62-054813-01; est. 23 ea; 3) Converter, Down; NSN: 7R-5915-01-257-0934; P/N: 82-081082-01; est. 605 ea; 4) Amplifier-Detector; NSN: 7R-5895-01-257-0954; P/N: 32-070651-01; est. 175 ea; 5) Amplifier-Detector; NSN: 7R-5895-01-417-4600; P/N: 78-094609-01; est. 320 ea; 6) Amplifier, Radio Frequency; NSN: 7R 5996-01-480-2204; P/N: 1874AS0721; est. 191 ea. The subject items require Government Source Approval prior to contract award, as the items are flight critical and/or the technical data available has not been determined adequate to support repair via full and open competition. Only the source previously approved by the Government for repair of these items has been solicited. The time required for approval of a new source is normally such that an award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. This brochure identifies technical data required to be submitted based on your company's experience in repair of the same or similar items. If your request for source approval is currently being evaluated at NAVICP-P, submit with your offer a copy of the cover letter that forwarded your request for source approval. Offers received which fail to provide all data required by the Source Approval Brochure or document previous submission of all data required by the Source Approval Brochure will not be considered for award under this solicitation. Please note, if evaluation of a source approval request submitted hereunder cannot be processed in time and/or approval requirements preclude the ability to obtain subject items in time to meet Government requirements, award of the subject requirement may continue based on Fleet support needs.
