The responses to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only. This is not a screening information request or request for proposal of any kind. The FAA is not seeking or accepting proposals at this time. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to the request for quote. Therefore, any cost associated with the request for quote submission is solely at the interested vendor’s expense. At this time, the nature of this procurement is to Single Source to BOCA Systems, Boca Raton, FL. The purpose of this market survey is to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from qualified firms, capable of providing the NSNs as described in the attached DRAFT statement of work. BOCA Systems is the manufacturer of the printer. The purchase from BOCA will assure the paper will operate properly in the printers. The printer are very sensitive to the paper fed through them and require high speed thermal paper to meet the requirements. Printer paper must be designed for the specific model of printer in order to avoid jamming and unnecessary maintenance to the print heads. BOCA produces the paper for its printer and has refused to provide the precise manufacturing process that would allow another manufacturer to duplicate their product. Because BOCA is the producer and owner of all associated data related to the flight strips, any vendor should contact BOCA to request access to their information. And vendor must be able to prove vendor has given access to data. Capability Statement from interested vendors must include information from BOCA stating vendor has been given access to data. Attached are the DRAFT Specifications and Drawings, and the FAA Business Declaration Form.
