Z -- Repairs and Installation of Windows, Personnel Doors and Miscellaneous Structural Components at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard

The work in this project is to provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision as necessary to repair and install windows and personnel doors and miscellaneous structural components at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, Maine. Work shall be in accordance with the specifications provided in the solicitation package. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238350 with a size standard of $12 million. This solicitation will be issued as unrestricted. The period of performance is one calendar year with options for up to an additional two calendar years. There will be only one Davis Bacon Act wage determination included in the solicitation. Prospective offerors are advised they must include in their offered prices for the option years any increases needed for wages and fringe benefits for construction work under the Davis-Bacon bid line items of the contract. There will be no adjustment to the contract price in the option years as a result of changes in the wage determination This office estimates the solicitation will be available by approximately 23 NOV 2004. However, this is an estimated response date. Once issued, the Bidders/Offerors interested in obtaining plans and specification for this project can download the solicitation from the e-sol website at www.esol.navfac.navy.mil. Downloading from the Internet is free of charge, however some specifications may take a considerable amount of time to download. Notification of any changes to this solicitation (amendments) shall be made only on the Internet and official plan holder’s list will be maintained on, and can be printed from the Internet site.
