Replacement Switch at B805 and Repair by replacing ST-1B & the maintain of ST-1A

This is a synopsis/notification of a construction project utilizing total Small Business Set-Asides procedures IAW FAR 19.502, for the acquisition of a Replacement Switch at B805 and to repair by replacing ST-1B & the maintenance of ST-1A for Buckley AFB, CO (BAFB). The contractor shall furnish all management, supervision, labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required for repair by replacement of the ST-1B switching station with electrical switch gear that is capable of supporting a minimum of three load circuits that meets the current National Electric Code (NEC), provide manufacturer recommended lifecycle maintenance on ST-1A switchgear, replace ST-29 switchgear with electrical switch gear that meets current NEC, move the new switch gear to a location that is Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (ATFP) compliant and repair the sidewalk at the site where the old ST-29 was located on (BAFB). The proposed contract will be a non-commercial, firm-fixed price construction contract with Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs). The magnitude is between $100,000 and $250,000. The acquisition will include a site visit for which attendance is required to maximize the exchange of information. The site visit's date and time will be included in the solicitation. The solicitation information will be posted on FedBizOpps at http://www.fbo.gov. The issurance date is 21 Mar 2013 for the solicitation and Request for Proposal (RFP), FA2543-13-R-0009. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102; therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments to the solicitation. As a result of the posting, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidder's mailing list. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238210 - Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation with a size standard of $14 million.
