Y--Consolodated Rehabilitation Services Center Construction

This project will renovate 4,320 gross square feet of existing space within the main hospital building (Building 31) to facilitate the replacement of the current PT/OT space which resides in Building 1. Additionally, the project will provide an additional renovated space of 1,872 gross square feet to facilitate the relocation of the facility's SCI and Polytrauma clinics which currently reside on the third floor of Building 31. The proposed Rehabilitative Services clinic renovations will provide consolidated patient centric care by providing the appropriate adjacencies between the SCI and Polytrauma clinics and the PT/OT clinic. Work will include removal of walls, asbestos abatement, upgrade of lighting, power, and HVAC systems to meet current codes and standards for patient care areas. The design of the new Rehabilitative Services clinic space will be consistent with the requirements of VA Design Guides for PT/OT, Polytrauma, and SCI Clinics. Additionally, interior finishes and clinic layout will be designed and constructed in a manner that reflects current trends in health care design and healing environments.
