99 -- X-ray fluorescence device (XRF)

Need X-ray fluorescence (XRF) device for environmental analysis of heavy metals within soil and soil-like samples to evaluate whether abandoned mine sites have CERCLA response needs. Device must be handheld and portable,must use an X-ray tube as the radiation source to avoid the safety and administrative difficulties associated with the radioactive isotope sources used in traditional XRF devices. The highest kV x-ray tube available is 50 kV and is needed to ensure results comparable to those obtained by XRF devices with isotope sources.
