73--The Norfolk District, U. S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking proposal to provide food service to its employees for lunch and breakfast. The District is located at 803 Front Street, Norfolk, Virginia.

We are soliciting proposals for food service for breakfast and lunch. Proposals will be evaluated on: 1. Cost 2. Quality 3. Freshness 4. Variety 5. Past Performance Building hours are Monday through Friday 6:00 AM to 5 PM and NAO will consider any hours submitted during those timeframes. Food service should plan to be provided from 0700-1400 with the exception of federal holiday and the occasional quote mark all hands quote mark meeting. Many of the employees are on a compressed work week, with many having Mondays and/or Fridays off. Proposals providing service for less than a five day week will be considered, but is not preferred. We can provide an area for distribution of offsite prepared foods or food can be prepared in rented area. Area food preparation area has plumbing & electrical systems available. If this option is pursued, the successful vendor will be required to provide its own equipment, such as; refrigerator, oven, countertops, etc. NAO will provide: hood, counter, plumbing, etc. Rent each month is to be determined and will include, use of fixed equipment, tables and chairs, water, electricity, and plumbing. On-site food preparation will be subject to the Federal food and health inspections and guidelines. Contractor is required to provide most recent health inspection reports. Contractor shall obtain proper food, health, and business licenses. An agreement will be issued for a term up to five years. The Government reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers. Site visit is schedule for 10 OCT 2013. Amenities: 300 employees, Secured facility No on site competition Outdoor patio facing river and large indoor dining room provided for use by employees Contractors may submit proposals using the attached proposal, however, proposal using a different format are acceptable.
